File Manager For Android

How to use For a quick and simple tutorial, check this video: Support If you have any problems downloading or using ASTRO File Manager, please email us at support@astrofilemanagerapp.zendesk.com. Very helpful and versatile. I will admit though that some additional support for moving and managing large numbers of files would be helpful.

I use the app to move pictures off of my phone and onto my NAS in the hundreds. So one photo having a name duplicate because its stored in a few different places on my phone but everything shows up in one place once I search for all pictures on my phone. Some sort of 'save all conflicting files until the end' option would be an incredible feature. Or at the very least a 'skip all conflicting files' checkbox. I liked the app, but they're demanding access to my contacts.

I emailed help asking why, but received no response. I don't understand why a file manager needs my contacts. I'm uninstalling.

Received feedback stating they needed contact access to access Google drive. I confirmed this requirement with another file manager.

Astro should note this is the reason for their access request. I used this program for several years and found it met all my needs. Although I've switched to another program, I recommend it. EXCELLENT I was looking for an app to move/transfer my photos, which there are over 30000 on my cell phone, to my SD card but after so many different tries with other apps with no luck I remembered that I had this application on my cell phone from years ago and gave it a try. Not only can I remove a single folder with its entire contents But I can select multiple folders and transfer the entirety onto the SD card with one click.

Not only does this app move photos from the phone To the SD card it does a dozen other features that simple photo swapping apps do not do. And best of all this is the FREE version that I am using. I am strongly investing in the paid version just because it helped me move over 8GB of photos in a very short period of time. The app used to be great but the newer versions trades power and functionality for a pretty interface. It tries and fails to do things automatically that you used to be able to do manually. As far as I can find there is no way to override. Network functionality is now terrible.

It can not successfully down load large blocks of files and if it can not automatically find a network resource, I have not been able to direct it to the resource like I could the old version. Still better than the stock option but a shadow of its former self. The new UI is awful. Why do you think users download a third party file manager? Certainly not to have it resemble their stock file manager pixel for pixel. Functionally, the latest update dropped the ball, mostly with the 'recent file' feature. I realize you can clear the recent file cache (exactly like samsungs file manager) but I (and I assume most astro users) dont want it there in the first place.

How To Use Astro File Manager

Offer an option to 'disable recent files' or I (and many others) will be forced to find a new file manager. I've always enjoyed the layout of astro, it is a shame you changed the UI so drastically.

Hi, the last link doesn't work.I have a similar problem.I've got my android. My only available wifi has proxy.Android doesn't support proxy settings.I need to first install Transparent Proxy to enable that so I can use my webs and use market. There is no file manager to install the apk.If I use my laptop as an access point and link my phone to it, will it recieved the internet filtered by the laptop's proxy settings, or will I have to set up proxy settings for the phone as a separate devise because the laptop is no more than an access point/hub thingie?
