Many parents at the Coconut Creek school were concerned when Sylvain was initially allowed back on campus after his August arrest.Police said Sylvain raped a woman at a bus stop on Halloween in 2016. DNA taken from the woman's sweater linked Sylvain to the crime.Sylvain was back in court Tuesday to face four new charges.
His attorney argued that the sex was consensual.' The defendant, as described by the victim, grabbed her from behind the head and forced her to provide oral sex on him,' Detective Steven James said in court.Prosecutor Alixandra Buckelew said Sylvain told a security guard at the school that he thought the woman was a prostitute and that he didn't have any money to pay her.Sylvain was handcuffed in court and taken into custody.
